ABOUT.

My name is Daniel Belgrave, and I serve as the Director of Belgrave Mind LTD. As a BACP registered therapist, I hold a Master's Degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy and a Bachelor's Degree in Social Welfare. My identity as a black therapist has allowed me to bridge the gap within a predominantly white industry. My background and life experiences complement my therapeutic skills, making me accessible to a diverse range of individuals.

I adopt an open and non-judgmental approach in my practice, with my life skills and background enabling me to relate to a wide variety of clients. I believe that the therapeutic relationship between the client and therapist is crucial and take pride in the safe environment I create for my clients.

Working from a person-centred perspective, I recognise that each individual is unique, and as such, I tailor my approach to suit each client's needs. Although I primarily use person-centred therapy, I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques when appropriate. As an open-minded professional, my role is to assist and facilitate your exploration of your personal journey.

I offer one-on-one counselling and psychotherapy services, primarily online, based in Birmingham. My practice includes both short-term and long-term work, usually conducted on a weekly basis. My experience with person-centred and CBT methods has enabled me to work with a broad spectrum of clients and issues.

My distinctive background working with young people sets me apart in the therapeutic world. I have served as a youth worker, residential childcare worker in a therapeutic home, behaviour and pastoral manager within mainstream and alternative provisions, outreach worker, and mentor.
